No Scout Meeting this Sat 21 Mar 2009

Dear all,

There will be NO SCOUT MEETING this coming Sat. Have a good rest before the new term starts on Monday.
However, I will need to have the following Scouts to help me with the checking of Job Week cards this Sat. Report to the Scout Den at 9am and you will likely to be dismissed by 12 noon. The following Scouts are :
1. All Sec 3s (except those on CCA Hike)
2. All Sec 4s (except those on CCA Hike)
3. Tristen, Francis, Daniel Kong, Bok Woon (unless you are on CCA Hike)

Scout Job Week 2009 (14 to 17 Mar 09)

Dear all,


be reminded to collect your Job Week Cards latest by this Friday (13 Mar 09), 1.30pm at the Scout Den.

Please adhere to the following instructions.

1. All Scouts are to report to the Scout Den this Sat 14 Mar 09 by 8.30am.

2. Your respective sec 4s Patrol Leaders will take charge of you in the absence of the sec 3s. You are required to perform 4 days of Job Week (14 to 17 Mar) from 9am to 6 pm.

3. Attire for Job Week - Scout Uniform (no beret needed) with comfortable sports shoes. Bring along PE Tees & shorts and a piece of rag.

4. Use the cards from the smallest card number.Use only Black or Blue BALL POINT PEN. Cheap ball point pen like “RED LEAF” brand is recommended.

5. The cards issued to you are NOT TRANSFERABLE. DO not exchange cards with your fellow scouts. All TRANSFER CAN ONLY BE DONE WITH THE CONSENT OF THE SCOUT LEADER. If you’re sick and cannot perform Job Week, please inform your Patrol Leader.

6. The Job Done "Stickers" are strictly to be given to household when a JOB IS DONE. Do not trade the stickers for $ contribution. (Each is given about 40 "stickers" only !)

7. DO NOT hand your daily earning to any Scouts to submit on your behalf. If you cannot make it back in the evening, you must come personally the next morning at 9 am to submit the previous day’s earning. All Job Week Cards issued (used and unused) and $$ must be handed up by the last day of Job Week 7.30pm

Scouts' Investiture 7 Mar 09

Purchase of Scout Uniform

Dear Sec 1s,

It's confirmed! We will be going down to Scout Shop at Bishan St 12 tomorrow (17 Feb) after school by public transport.

Meet outside the Scout Den at 3pm with lunch taken. You will be dismissed from Scout HQ once the purchase is completed. Best estimate time (depending on the crowd) is 6pm.

Nearest MRT is Bishan MRT.

Results for 6th National Patrol Camp

Dear all,

I'm pleased to announce that the Patrol comprising Shu Liang, Wee Loong, Bryan, Zen, Chan An, Yong Jia, Isaac and Francis (reserves - Kah Fong, Ivan, Zong Ren) has achieved the GOLD Merit in the recently concluded 6th National Patrol Camp.

We were ranked overall 3rd amongst the 60 Patrols from the different schools. Catholic High School was the overall champion and claimed the Best Patrol Title along with the Chief Commissioner's Challenge Shield. Dunman High School was ranked 2nd. Only 10 schools were awarded the Gold Merit.

Let's congratulate the our Scouts for achieving such good result. This Gold Merit is our 5th consecutive Gold. No other Schools has achieved this except Catholic High School.

I would like to thank the following.
- all parents, especially Mr Chia (Isaac's father) for the various support given to our Scouts.
- the Support Team comprising Guo Qiang, Janus, Gerard, Sherman and many more sec 1s, 2s and 3s who have given their time to support the team's training.
- our Adult Leaders Kai Urn and Kwok Chin for their time
- Jordan, Shervin, Changda, Xiu Qi, Sean, Zhi Cong who have acted as Trainers.

Thank You.

Let's bring back the Shield in 2010/11.

National Patrol Camp

Dear all,

27/11 NPC Logistics
this Thurs (27/11) is Day 1 of NPC. I would like ALL available sec 1 to 4 Scouts to come down to school on 27/11 to help with the Logistics. You will help to load and unload the logistics needed for the NPC in VS as well as Sarimbun.

Pls be down at 7.30am tomorrow.
