Important Reminders for Founder's Day (22 Feb)

Dear all (including Sec 1s)

as instructed today, you are reminded to Report to the Scout Den this Monday 22 Feb 2010 at 7.10am in your FULL Scout Uniform. Sec 1s will wear their VS Uniform with school tie as usual.

We will have a simple ceremony to mark the Founder's Day at the Indoor Sports Hall (1st Level). The programme is as follow.

0710 - Scouts to fall in at the Scout Den in Full Scout Uniform. PLs to have a quick check on their boys Uniform.
0715 - Scouts to assemble at Indoor Sports Hall (1st Level) in horseshoe.
0720- Founder's Day message will be read.
0725 - Scouts are dismissed to return to their respective classes for morning assembly.

1. Pls ensure that you wear a proper CLEAN BLACK canvas shoe or well polished drill boots. No white shoes are allowed. This rule does not apply to sec 1s.

2. You WILL NOT REMOVE your scarf during your CA written paper. The scarf is part of your Scout Uniform unlike the school tie.

3. Be smart at ALL TIMES in your Scout Uniform esp. the scarfs and tucking in of the shirt.
4. Do make sure you put on YOUR BEST behaviour during lessons this Monday. Remember, everyone will be observing to see what kind of Scout you are. I do not want to hear complains from your subject teachers.

5. For classes having PE lesson on Monday, you MUST change back into your Scout Uniform after PE.

6. You MUST wear the Scout Uniform from home and when going home.

7. Sec 4 ESP Students will be allowed to wear Roundneck black with Scout pants for ESP lessons.

PLs, you are expected to call your Patrol Members PERSONALLY to remind them about Founder's Day.

All those who forget to wear their Scout Uniform for whatever reasons will serve 5 hrs detention this week.

Scout Meeting on the 20 Feb 2010

Dear all,

as mentioned before CNY, the Southern Ridge hike is postponed in view of CA1. However, Scout meeting will be held in School for this Sat, 20 Feb 2010. Refer to the programme attached.

Do note that the attire for tmr is Red Activity Tee with VS Shorts (for sec 2) and Black for Sec 3 & 4. PT Attire is Group White Roundneck. For Sec 1s - VS PE Attire.

Dismissal for sec 1 to 3 will be 1215pm. Sec 4s need to meet for Investiture meeting immediately after dismissal.

Sec 1s - Test will be on Scout Badges, Badge scheme, Uniform & Ceremonies.

Do study for the test. No one shall fail the test.

There will be Scout Meeting on the 30 Jan 2010.
Attire - Group Polo with Scout Pants (Sec 2 to 4).
PT Attire - White Roundneck Tee.
Sec 1 - VS PE Attire

Fall in - 7.45am
Dismissal - 1.15pm
Duty Patrol - Stevenson Patrol.

Sec 2s to 4s - Bring along your drill boots for footdrill this Sat.

For those who have not completed their respective progress badges (Std, Adv, FC), there will be retest session during the 1 hr test slot. Do prepare for the re tests.

All Sec 3s are to stay behind this Sat for Total Defence Day preparation. (2pm to 5pm)
Bring along a pair of good scissors and cutter.

we have just concluded our last Scout Meeting before SA2 Exams yesterday. All absentees for yesterday meeting are to email their reasons for absence to Gerard Ong onggerard@hotmail.com by next Tues 22 Sep 09.

All sec 1 to 3 Scouts SA2 Exam will be over by 23 Oct 09. The following are the tentative Scout Meetings schedule after SA2.

24 Oct 09 - NO SCOUT MEETING
31 Oct 09 - MacRitchie Catchment area Hike (expected to last till 4pm pls make prior arrangements to avoid having tuition on that day)

7 Nov 09 - Normal Scout Meeting for Sec 1 & 3
- 1 Star Kayaking Course for Sec 2s
11 to 12 Nov - First Class Hike for sec 3s
14 Nov 09 - Normal Scout Meeting for all
